Image Competition

Image Competition is by far, the most intense photographic education you can get. Through this process, you will learn to see and view your work in a more objective way, all the while developing a more refined skill set which carries over into your everyday work. We welcome everyone to participate in image competition. Newcomer or seasoned veteran, we all have something to offer and something to learn.

Image competition through our State Affiliate, MOPPA, is based on the 12 Elements of a Merit Image, as established by the Professional Photographers of America.

While PPA merits are NOT earned from our competition, MOPPA does offer it's own awards to be given to Missouri members of Missouri Professional Photographers Association.

Fellowship Points are also awarded based on the above mentioned awards and honors. You can read more about those here MOPPA Fellowship.

This is a DIGITAL ONLY competition.

All images MUST be pre-registered and uploaded to PrintCompetition.com

Digital File Submission Instructions

The Professional Photographers of America has gone to a system of digital submissions to prints at the International Print Competition. Due to this, we have decided that it is in our best interest to offer a digital competition. This allows our members to be judged at the same size as they will be at IPC as well as learn calibration and color management skills. The below requirements and settings will help with accurate representation on the competition monitor.

Images saved with long side at 4000px. Each image is to be embedded with a color profile of either sRGB or Adobe RGB1998 and be saved at a JPEG quality setting of 10. Name your file as the "The Title of Your Image", not Image 1.jpg as you would for Districts or ICP.  The title and should not include the name of the entrant, or any verbiage that identifies the entrant.

Images can be submitted online at https://www.printcompetition.com

Membership for the site is required at a negligible fee.
